East Antrim Battalion Heritage Society become a charity

The Boys' Brigade East Antrim Battalion Heritage Society has had its application to be become a charity excepted by the Charity Commission in Northern Ireland. The Heritage Society charity number NIC 109612 will now have the opportunity to promote itself better and seek funding for additional sources as it seeks to carry out its aims.

The Chairman and one of the three trustees, of the newly formed charity, Mr Drew Buchanan MBE stated "We are delighted to gain charitable status so quickly in Northern Ireland and we trust this will not only encourage us as trustees but will help us in our aim of opening a Boys' Brigade museum in Carrickfergus"

The East Antrim Battalion Heritage Society was formed in August 2019 with the aim: to make sure The Boys' Brigade East Antrim Battalion heritage is cherished, understood, shared, and enjoyed with pride by everyone. To that end our vision is have premises to display our museum exhibition.

Our mission

Is to display, digitise, protect, and conserve it for now and future generations.

We want to share, educate, and celebrate our heritage within our community by having it on display within our communities.
